Hacking – Why do we blame the victim?
- tiernano 9y agoCause in some cases (not all Mind you) it’s simple lack security that has allowed the hackers in. It’s the same reason we would blame someone who left their valuebles visible in an unlocked car.
- Cryptoclysm 9y ago'I am okay with not allowing anonymity on the internet'. The core issue with this is that it would be impossible to enforce, breach the freedom of speech that the internet has provided billions of people and put every person on the internet at real risk from people of opposing (extreme) views seeking revenge in the real world. The internet is great in the way that it gives everyone a voice without the fear that comes with having a voice in the physical world.
