I've been reading this Disrupted: My Misadventure in the Start-Up Bubble and it just kinda got me thinking about the topic in general. There's no special circumstance that's prompting me to ask this question. It was something I thought about and was surprised that there were no HN discussions about it. We see a lot of posts here about culture fit, compensation, and perks but I wonder how many people go to a company because they believe in the mission of a company.
