Which translation was this? Pevear and Volokhonsky?
- ideonexus 9y agoThis was Louise and Aylmer Maude. I'm afraid I don't know much about the different translations. I do think I would like to read this book again one day, knowing the character arcs. I just learned the Pevear and Volokhonsky version leaves the French untranslated, which is how Tolstoy wanted it. That sounds like a great translation to read next.
