People—especially in billionaire CEOs—have a voice whether or not they serve on one of Trump's showpiece councils. > This is just virtue-signaling Virtue-signalling is a technique to magnify trust from and thereby influence over the signalled group; it is often, for that reason, a mechanism to magnify one's political voice. So, the complaint that it is virtue-signalling actually contradicts the complaint that it nullifies the actor's voice.
