Ask HN: What are the training datasets available to benchmark a Neural Network

We are working on a general purpose neural network architecture. We have found some good success with it. Just wanted to know what are some publicly available data sets using which we can benchmark our stuff. I know about MNIST and Yale database. Also, how do we benchmark? Is there any place where you can find a dataset, best accuracy for that data set(whats the test data used) and time it took to train the data set.
