Are 5 year olds expected to read these days?
I learned it at 7-8.
- hathawsh 9y agoI remember getting frustrated with my kindergarten teacher because she insisted that the letters "T-H-E" spelled a familiar word, yet the word has no T sound, H sound, or E sound. What a garbage language, I thought. So yeah, I'd say kids start to learn to read at 5 or earlier.
