I wasn't aware of how hard Reed Hastings had come down on Peter Thiel about his Trump support. I've been a fan of Hastings for 15+ years but am marginally less supportive after hearing that. Not because of Trump per se, but that he should think Thiel's presidential maneuvers would be so easily connected to bad judgement as a board member, which should be determinable by Hastings in far more direct and obvious interactions with the man in person. I mean it would be odd if your boss gave you a bad review because your presidential choice indicated likely bad coding skills, while he has your code right in front of him.
