    "It struck a nerve and was harshly criticized inside a company and an entire industry struggling to explain why women are underrepresented in key engineering ranks" I believe there are less female graduates in software engineering than male, and more male software engineers so wouldn't it follow that they would be underrepresented? Unless that underrepresentation is in relation to those figures?
