Misconduct would be expressing these views under his blog while putting emphasis on Google and blaming his company for what he finds unreasonable.
He used internal messaging services. Someone leaked the document. That "someone" is sitting in his/her office today getting no punishment whatsoever.
- humanrebar 9y agoI haven't read the code of conduct, and I'm disappointed the person was fired, but I presume there's a clause about saying bigoted things. And people consider parts of what he said bigoted.

- humanrebar 9y agoI agree. I'm just stating a possible justification for dismissal.
- josteink 9y agoLooking at the response in this friend it is worringly normal to let you ever get most easily offended define what is reasonable. This only leads to people getting increasingly sensitive over increasingly minor things and it's a vicious circle. So how do we break it? How do we re-establish open discourse?
