> Minimalism is an ostentatious luxury. Care to explain? I've seen this line of thought a lot, but don't understand at all. Maybe minimalism attracts people who have grown up wealthy and realize that money doesn't solve all problems, but that's different. It's a luxury in the metaphorical sense that not having to worry about money is a luxury, but I don't think that is the same as or as ostentatious as purchasing luxury items.
