I upvoted you for bringing clarity to why he was denied a public defender. The fact that he can't get a public defender because no charges higher than the misdemeanors were filed against him is, like you said, a good thing. He misunderstood, and creates a conspiracy theory around it. This is likely the case with most of his other points in the essay as well.
