Which is why they would either use a darknet exchange and/or convert the coins in small batches each time.
- GordonS 9y agoThat protects the identity of the sender - but it doesn't protect the addresses they came from. We know which addresses the WannaCry ransoms were paid to - whether a small or large amount is sent to an exchange, the source address would be blacklisted.
