Whitespace Language
In the spirit of transparency, I submit the language Whitespace.
The language character set is blanks, tabs, and newlines.
The source, including the compiler source, error messages,
and documentation, exist entirely in Whitespace. Here, for
example, is the 'hello, world' program hello.w:

I will give spoiler information in the comments.

The hello.w sources is at http://daly.axiom-developer.org/hello.w http://daly.axiom-developer.org/hello.w There are two programs that exist to create the language. The 'towhite' program turns any ASCII file into tabs, blanks, and newlines. The 'totext' program turns a Whitespace file to ASCII text. ASCII text is encoded using morse code, then the morse is translated so that period becomes blank, dash becomes tab. Uppercase characters are just ASCII prefixed with the morse for double-quote. Special characters are prefixed with morse for single-quote. Post-processing a file with 'towhite' changes it to Whitespace. Prefixing a compiler with the 'totext' program allows the compiler to see the original text so any compiler can become a Whitespace compiler. If the compiler can compile itself then the compiler source code can be in Whitespace.
