That subreddit is hard to follow if you're not up on all the lingo. But it seems pretty normal to me for staffers to reach out to constituents when building legislation. I'd much rather see them talk to regular citizens as in this case than copy/pasting from lobbyists.
- RamenJunkie_ 9y agoThe Subreddit is incredibly toxic in nature and immediately bans anyone who is even remotely not participating in the circle jerk. I am talking even the tiniest hint of criticism. It's hardly a good source for anything.
- choko 9y agoThis is true of nearly every news or politics-based subreddit. Almost no one is interested in an intellectually honest discussion on policy, and dissenting opinions are heavily downvoted. It's extremely frustrating.
