Yep. I'm sitting in two teams, about 15 channels between them. One of those teams has >5000 users and >3000 channels. The channels I'm in (excluding #general) each have between 20 and 80 users. Between the "Slack" and "Slack Helper" processes, the OS X slack client is using about 766MB of ram.
