As your comment wrestles with, you can't know what it's like, because you don't live under a systemic power imbalance. The fact that words aren't going to hurt you as much because they aren't coming from an environment of actual systemic discrimination doesn't mean that the people who are hurt by words under discrimination are wrong or irrational. It just means it's a thing you don't get to experience first-hand and should attempt to have empathy for nonetheless.
