This article fails to address the main problem: the javascript ecosystem is like a cancer: it spreads at an alarming rate and you just can't keep up and the quality of the tools converges to zero. Even the numerous [hiccups](https://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/03/23/npm_left_pad_chaos/ https://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/03/23/npm_left_pad_chaos/) don't make js devs realize that there are big problems at the heart of the javascript world. They are either blinded by the Blub paradox or just do it for the money. Most js devs don't even know what big O is and how do you expect someone to write a graph library (or anything involving the simplest of algorithms) without that knowledge?
At least there are languages which can be compiled/transpiled to js and WebAssembly is coming so I don't have to touch this abomination.
