Ask HN: Is Nvidia 1050 enough to learn CUDA?
I just bought PNY Nvidia 1050 Ti 4GB video card to learn CUDA on budget. Will it be enough to learn CUDA programming ? Or I need to buy a different card ?
- brudgers 9y agoTo me, learning CUDA seems more like a writing code exercise than a shopping exercise. Since CUDA long predates the 1050, I suspect that there is a wealth of examples, tutorials and problems that can be run on much less capable hardware. In other words, I think writing code makes more difference than which device is owned. Good luck.
