This rather related to my startup in development. I hope to release this service soon. Anyways, I use a decent editor (Notepad++ is a good one) for most code that doesn't need debugging (besides the good old trace statements) and for debugging I use eclipse. In the latest version of Node.js (0.1.100) a console.log() was added.
