While not technically a "Show HN", 576 days ago @tilt submitted my react-boilerplate to HN. (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10794502 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10794502) The submission garnered a bunch of votes and was on the frontpage for a good 20 hours. The project went from 50 to 550 stars overnight, eventually reaching 3,000-something stars when the hype died down. (it's now at ~14,500 stars and growing) That submission kickstarted my career. Among other things it led to me speaking at over 20 international conferences, to being featured in Forbes Austria and to the privilege of being employed as a full-time open source developer.
