I'm speaking on a broader more long term view. Crypto currencies have the possibility to expand into what is arguably the biggest market of them all, money. In the same sense that many previous distruptive technologies did (mp3, video codecs for music/entertainment). Many mp3 based startups failed, so did many streaming/content selling startups but the trend was ultimately sound. Nobody really knows what bets will pay off but people are placing bets none the less in the same way they placed bets on startups before.
