What the previous comment was trying to say, in less than ideal manners, is that they are not exclusive. You can have a lot of enjoyment playing competitive chess, or No-items-Fox-Only smash. Being very competitive doesn't mean you don't play for fun, and doesn't have to kill fun. Being judgmental of what other people like, I think, does a little.
