Regarding your last comment about Gimp, this feature (the multi-window mode) can be disable. Open Gimp > "Windows" > check "Simple-Window mode".

- sathackr 9y agoInteresting -- I went in to enable that option and it was already checked. It's been a couple of weeks since I last used Gimp -- maybe it was changed in an update? In any case, thanks!
