I actually use GNOME on Fedora as my daily driver but will probably switch to ubuntu if they can create a better gnome experience. Please try to ship GNOME that way it's meant to be shipped as far as software versioning goes. Please make quarter tiling and the ability to hide windows decoration a thing. Web Browser: Firefox Email Client: don't care, I coded my own Terminal: tilix (integrates better with GTK3 than GNOME-terminal) IDE: Builder is good (I use vim) File manager: Nautilus/ranger Basic Text Editor: Gedit/nano/vim IRC/Messaging Client: I use irssi PDF Reader: Evince Office Suite: LibreOffice Calendar: GNOME calendar, but update it Video Player: mpv Music Player: mpv Photo Viewer: mpv Screen recording: the one thats built into gnome, but make it better (adjust FPS/quality/convert size/etc).
