Perhaps people who are characterized as such - ADHD, Aspergers (remember these are diagnoses made on observation,there are no lab tests to diagnose them) are in a learning environment that is not conducive to promoting their underlying talent. Perhaps it's the education system that needs change, and not the pupil. If so, we may see fewer of these diagnoses. I don't know temple grandin, but hawking certainly didn't have a learning disorder.
