Cython is wasteful with lots of memory allocations, which are expensive in embedded systems. Also GC is not a good fit for real time. Something like micro python is far more suited for embedded systems

- m_mueller 9y agoThanks, I wasn't aware, I thought Cython would do something along the lines of ARC.
- blattimwind 9y agoCython is not an implementation of Python. Cython is a weird and difficult to use mix of C and Python, where most Pythonic constructs are translated to CPython API calls that are essentially the same API calls that the Python VM would do for similar Python byte code. In any case, CPython has no business on embedded (non-Linux) systems.
