I'll be honest, but I got the feeling right away that his negative experience probably has more to do with his personality than the country in itself. His "Cycling in Tokyo" post is just absurdly pessimistic and dark, for example. His username is littleblackheart. When you project negativity people tend to project it back at you. Most of his criticism is probably valid in some way, but if I were him I wouldn't make them as important to my experience of the country as he seems to have done.
