I'm tired of this thing where something is made materially worse but we have to have a big meeting about how, actually, it's better this way. Just be honest and say tough shit, this is how it is now. My company has shuttered the office in the city I live in, and reduced vacation time from unlimited to limited. Both changes were billed as being better for us as employees. Which is just so insulting. They hire you for your brains and then talk to you like a child.
