Sydney Startups to Watch
- Alexholderness 9y agoInterested to see what happens with Spaceship, they had a huge marketing campaign on launch
- vdnkh 9y agoHow do startups deal with Australia's terrible internet? Do they get better rates/no caps? Is the internet situation hyperbolic & overblown on HN/Reddit?
- Alexholderness 9y agoI've been in Sydney and Manchester - haven't seen a huge difference between the two. Was terrible in Sydney till the last year, but only ever been in the cities - imagine it's a different story in rest of Aus
- justinjlynn 9y agoGenerally, yes, it is. However, while it's possible to make some good choices and enable yourself to receive decent internet services it's something you need to look for explicitly. Often, it's you who have to go to it instead of being able to order it wherever you are. Which, I suppose is a big part of why everyone complains about it.
- davidbanham 9y agoThe internet sucks and makes our economy less efficient than it could otherwise be. It's not like it makes it impossible to ever run any kind of business, though.
