- NicoJuicy 9y agoWhy didn't you use one of the open source code freely available?
- alewinkler 9y agoBecause I'm a software developer, and I like to build my own systems and make them work to fit my needs. I also like to learn new things.
- Insanity 9y agoPerfect answer to that. I am in a similar boat as you, many of the things I create are already done but I do it for the experience nontheless. Plus you can tweak things to your liking and don't end up installing an app that does the thing you want + 99 other things you did not want :D
- jackiejj22 9y agoPerfect answer to that. I am in a similar boat. I like to waste resources reimplementing everything. I don’t want home automation that actually works, but a home automation building hobby.
- alewinkler 9y agoTake it easy my friend, you are wasting comments. And it actually works, I can upload a video anytime.
- jackiejj22 9y agoOoooh a video! Holy crap mate, that’s brilliant!
