I'm all for more comparisons with better methods, but isn't demonstrably superior lane-keeping enough to seriously question the GP's assertion that European car

I'm all for more comparisons with better methods, but isn't demonstrably superior lane-keeping enough to seriously question the GP's assertion that European car makers are quietly far ahead in AV capability? By all appearances, the A8 can't even change lanes like last year's Model S - I can imagine scenarios where Audi could do better at other tests, but I'd sure bet on Tesla to do braking/parking/etc better.
