Which country do you live in? I didn't know there were countries that forbid the airlines from overselling seats and forced them to fly airplanes with empty seats when there are no shows.

- FireBeyond 9y agoPre 2001 (late 90s, early 2000s), I'd on more than one occasion take a United flight from LAX to Melbourne via Sydney (same flight, deplaning people in Sydney) that would regularly fly the Sydney Melbourne leg with fewer than 50 passengers on a 747-400.
