Ask HN: SceneKit vs. Unity3D for 3D iOS apps?
Normally, there are certain UX advantages in developing with native iOS frameworks (UIKit, AVFoundation, etc), although the gap is slowly closing. But in terms of developer/community support for 3D engine based apps, Unity3D appears to be the clear leader. As an iOS app dev hobbiest, are there any big performance/framework-level/end-user-experience related advantages to keep make me develop with Apple's SceneKit over Unity3d for working with apps that generally require a 3d environment (games and beyond)?
BTW, I don't care about cross-platform compatibility
