Not at all, Gucci is almost entirely without objective value relative to its increased cost, a fridge that lasts 10 years rather than 5 years, all else being the same, is objectively better than the alternative. Also, it's highly likely that any direct legislation would work through a minimum warranty, like the laws which already exist.
