I asked a deputy at Bartlett last year why the surge and he scoffed & said the surge has been in step with metro population growth over his 22 years in the department(New Times[i know] & EV Tribune claim to concur I didn't click them, either) . No doubt wrong-way drivers are a problem, but the only thing new these days is someone in our legislature is taking action to mitigate(opportunize?) the problem and the stories get eyes on screens and clicks on sites more than slow news, ghetto murders & axe wielding tweekers... although today's lumberjack will probably make the MSM.
