OnePlus 5’s Display Is Inverted – Likely Causes Jelly Scrolling
- metaloha 9y agoI've noticed this on my Pixel XL as well, though it's quite a bit more subtle than the video shows. Even right-side up, if I look below my finger instead of above it, the effect is noticeable. I'm not technically qualified to say for sure, but orientation definitely appears to play a part in this. Clearly the repaint code in the display driver isn't orientation aware - at some point it has to loop through all the pixels and update them; if the screen is oriented 180 degrees, that loop should be reversed.
