Can someone explain to me what he did exactly? I know he messaged a woman saying "I don't know if I should hire you or hit on you." What kind of environment were they in? Were they hanging out socially or professionally? Was she formally in a recruitment process with his firm? It seems to me that they were in a socially ambiguous situation and that McClure interpreted the environment wrong and did some innocuous flirting. This doesn't seem like a huge deal to me. This stepping down from his job and public self-flagellation seems overblown to me but I feel like I may not fully understand what his actions exactly were.
