I liked using the O'Reilly early release program available from the site (as well as Manning's MEAP program). Is there any replacement for that now? I also prefer the PDF versions which I can print out a chapter when I need to read hard-copy Instead of carrying with me an entire book (live/work in Manhattan, we don't use cars much and value light-weight equipment).
