Correct. Academic's job is to study, it doesn't matter what the outcome is, they have grants either way.

Correct. Academic's job is to study, it doesn't matter what the outcome is, they have grants either way.
- voice_of_reason 9y agoIt is not always true. Imagine the system, where the government is a primary source of grants. There is a possibility that government will prefer funding the scientists whose work supports government's political agenda.
