Dan Ariely's Startup Lab
- ganeshkrishnan 9y agoThe last date to apply is June 30 but we are in July 1st. Can we still go ahead and apply?
- joekrill 9y agoIn the US, and North Carolina specifically (where Duke University is located) it's still the 30th. So you're probably good. At least for another 3 hours (it's 2pm there now).
- lhorie 9y agoJune 30 5:00pm EST, so yes you have about 3 hours
- joekrill 9y agoStrange that they specify EST... currently it's daylight savings time, so it should be EDT, shouldn't it?
- rpeden 9y agoIt should be, but people often forget whether we're currently in standard or DST. I usually just hedge my bets and write Eastern. :)
- benatkin 9y agoEST is shorter than Eastern and more easily recognizable than ET, which is a more heavily overloaded acronym. I'm sure it's used by people who are aware of the technical meaning and not forgetting. There's no quick and reliable way to refer to non-EDT EST during the non-daylight months without mentioning the absence of daylight savings time or specifying the UTC offset.
- yoaviram 9y agoYou can apply in hindsight.
- desdiv 9y agoLooking at the domain name, is this somehow related to mailchimp.com?
- detaro 9y agoPretty sure that's just the web-version of a newsletter sent via mailchimp - at least that's where I've seen that domain before.
- joekrill 9y agoI thought that was weird, too. But it looks like this is just the "web view" of an email newsletter they (Center for Advanced Hindsight) sent out. Website is here: http://advanced-hindsight.com/ http://advanced-hindsight.com/
- grimgrin 9y agoThis is best answered by clicking: https://mailchi.mp https://mailchi.mp
- projectramo 9y agoHere is the direct link to the lab: http://advanced-hindsight.com/startup-lab/ http://advanced-hindsight.com/startup-lab/ It seems we are running up against the deadline, probably should have posted this sooner. Advanced hindsight is 20/20
- digitaltrees 9y agoThis seems amazing, but I should note that this program does take 7% equity.
- beambot 9y agoSo does YC. (Relative merits left as exercise to reader.)
