Insurance company executives pull the political marionette strings via campaign finance (in the U.S.). I would surmise the worry of "pissing someone off" dynamic is exactly the reverse.
- nostrademons 9y agoPossibly at the federal level. At the Massachusetts state level, the teacher's union (which my mother was part of) pulled the marionette strings; basically all local politicians were in the pocket of the MTA.
