Why not just use a simple LiDAR sensor? In the near future small solid state sensors could become far more affordable.
- simonh 9y agoAll the LIDAR sensors I've seen are bigger than a phone and cost about as much.
- bjd2385 9y agoAh yes, I'm aware that today's sensors are pretty large and extremely costly. But in the near future I wouldn't be surprised if a small, far more affordable sensor became available, even if at the cost of some range and precision/accuracy.
