For what it's worth: you can get a $100-200 10" Windows 10 laptop (well, 2-in-1 tablet) with an Atom. (Battery life as a laptop is closer to 3 than 10, at least for me.) MS has already hit that price point/form factor, and is working on making it more efficient/performant.
