What the article says is true - banking, patents, regulations, corporate subsidies all contribute to rent-seeking behaviour. But one cannot strike a balance between rent-seeking and value-producing behaviour without investigating the motivation behind. Is it greed and laziness working in tandem? Or something else? I honestly have no answer
