Ask HN: Is spending on GitHub universe sponsorship good idea?

We are 1 year old startup from Japan. And we wanted to do some sales in America. And github universe event is coming up and I saw their sponsorship offers where you can display your brand etc. And pricing is in the range 30k dollars.
