This is actually good use-case for Lambda, majority of other attempts that I see are mostly not great for Lambda. I personally wouldn't use it without really good need and would be very cautious because costs can spike without you having a limit on them with Amazon. It is good but some more traditional way would also be fine as well. I kind of expected to see Elixir or Go in the backend handling the load more efficiently.
