- jasonlotito 16y agoYes.
- pohl 16y agoIt's "the answer to life, the universe, and everything", a result arrived at after a mind-bogglingly powerful computer thought for millennia. After revealing this result, it was soon discovered that the answer only made sense if one knew the question - which no one did. (If I'm recalling correctly.) But now we know the question is "what is pi perent of leet, rounded to the nearest integer?"
- hitonagashi 16y agoIn a later book, they also reveal the question...kinda.
- mattmillr 16y agoSo they built a more-mind-bogglingly powerful computer to compute the question. You really should read the book(s) to find out what happens next...
- edge17 16y agomaybe i'm a bit slow on the uptake this morning, but what's the book you're referring to..?
- grinnbearit 16y agoThe Hitchiker's guide to the galaxy series http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitchhikers_Guide_to_the_Galaxy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitchhikers_Guide_to_the_Ga...
- BearGriz72 16y ago/FishSlap!
- norswap 16y agoMaybe it is "leet percent of pi", we will never know for sure :)
- benwr 16y agoI believe the question decided on by the pan-dimensional mice was less correct.
- calcnerd256 16y agoNo, it's "the answer to the ultimate question of" life, the universe, and everything. Also, the question is "What do you get when you multiply six by nine?" (so the answer's wrong anyway)
- twobar 16y ago42 was just a joke by Douglas Adams. http://groups.google.com/group/alt.fan.douglas-adams/msg/d1064f7b27808692?pli=1 http://groups.google.com/group/alt.fan.douglas-adams/msg/d10...
- greyfade 16y agoThe book and the BBC TV show both gave the answer toward the end.
