Would Marissa Mayer be a good fit for Uber CEO? Given that she just resigned from Yahoo, one would think the board would at least consider her. Unless they're going to choose the next CEO from within the company.
- hendzen 9y agoGood chance of it being Arianna Huffington.
- cft 9y agoDo people believe that this PC circus can actually make a long term business profit?
- sidcool 9y agoHow about Eric Schmidt?
- r00fus 9y agoWhy would Eric even think of it?
- sidcool 9y agoQuestion is whether Uber board thinks about it.
- tiredwired 9y agoHow about Elizabeth Holmes?
- anigbrowl 9y agoThat would be hilarious
- MichaelGG 9y agoWhat? Why? I looked her up on Wikipedia - she's an author and a political commentator?
- ipsum2 9y agoI'm not OP, but Arianna Huffington is on the board of Uber, helping lead the investigation behind the sexual harassment report. NYTimes also has this (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/19/technology/arianna-huffington-gains-power-at-uber.html https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/19/technology/arianna-huffin...): > In recent months, Ms. Huffington has become the public voice of Uber’s board as the company has tried to overcome scandals over its workplace culture. She has forged a friendship with Mr. Kalanick. And behind the scenes, she has been a driving force in recruiting an Uber board member and executives.
- MichaelGG 9y agoWhy would that qualify her to run it?

- vgfgtffcf 9y agoAbsolutely, you can count on her to destroy Uber gracefully with a topping of PR. And she will end up with a few hundred million at the end of it all. Failing upwards personified.
- OriginalPenguin 9y agoWhy would you think Marissa would be a good fit?
- anigbrowl 9y agoNo, her name is associated with decline. I think a woman CEO is likely, but it doesn't have to be from inside tech. I bet on Indra Nooyi.
