I don't want to nitpick but; parking on the shoulder is not safe. Don't do it unless it's a real emergency.
- nkrisc 9y agoIt appears that not having your hands on the wheel while autopilot is engaged could perhaps qualify as some kind of emergency, or at the very least, a risky enough situation to justify pulling over.
- koenigdavidmj 9y agoAgreed. "Safe" is not accurate; this is just the best of many bad options, and is what should happen if the car decides for any other reason that it is not auto-drivable.
