Standalone packaging is even worse. There are a number of tools each with their own quirks and bugs. I thought Electron's 100MB packages were big, but then I tried to wrap up a ~30 line Python script that used one SciPy feature for portable redistribution on Windows. The whole thing came out to over 300MB!
